Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My father is of 76 yeras old and he has been adviced for pacemaker implantation. I am in a fix to go for what type of pacemaker? i.e AAI, VVI, VDD, DDD, DDDR. Our cardiologist has the opinion for DDD or DDDR, which I can't afford. His holter report is attached. His ECG is telling complete right branch block.
Hi, DDD and DDDR are more physiological than VVI. It is more favorable to pace both atria and ventricle. For left bundle branch block indicated CRT which is not option for right bundle branch block. And you shouldn't worry about right bundle branch block, the impulse will generate at the apex of right ventricle, it will go though fascicles to left ventricle.
In case of further questions don't hesitate to ask
