Suggest Vitamins And Diet To Improve Strength In Legs
My daughter 22 has been complaining of a lot of weekness in her legs. She works in a law firm and keeps very long hours. What supplement can I give her in terms of diet and vitamins ? We are vegetarians..we eat eggs though and she has a mild lactose intolerance so avoids milk coffee etc. She eats cheese.
Since your daughter is complaining of weakness in the legs, get her clinically examined by a neurologist to detect any developing varicose veins, neurological disorder, peripheral neuropathy, etc. Get blood tests, Urinalysis, NVC tests, nerve performance tests, imaging tests and if required nerve biopsy done.
In the meantime, give her food rich in vitamin B1, B6, B12, vitamin E along with minerals like iron, zinc and calcium. Give her food rich in calcium. You can also give her supplements. Let her avoid stress and anxiety. She should take adequate rest and sleep. She should do regular exercises & stretch exercises under a physical therapist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
