General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Changes in posture may give you the impression that there is daily change in your height but there is no actual daily change.

As the day progress , you may have changes in your posture which would account for the height difference and can also contribute to your pain.

There are conditions that can cause bone loss and change in height but this would be a slow gradual process that occurs over months or years and would occur on a daily basis.

You would need to pay attention to your sitting and standing posture during the course of the day.
Stretching exercises may be helpful.

I hope this helps
