Suggest Ways To Deal With After Effects Of Stopping Gabapentin Cold Turkey
I have been off of gabapentin for two weeks. ....I did it cold turkey ... I could not stand the itch........my doctor knows about this...when am I going to feel better.......I am tired do feel like going out for a short walk ...I am Ninety years old ...... I was in pt retry good shape before.....I took it for lower back pain...but it certainly was not worth it ...I would rather take Advil.......Virginia.........
The effects should be completely gone since you last used it 2 weeks ago.
The half life of gabapentin is 5 to 7 hours. The half life of a drug is the time take for the amount of medication in the body to decrease by half. It takes approximately 3 to 5 half lives for a medication to be completely eliminated from the body. This means that it would take 15 hours to 35 hours for most of this to be eliminated.
If you continue to feel fatigued, you should consider visiting your doctor to determine if there is another possible cause eg anemia, thyroid disease
I hope this helps
