Hi, I m a 20yr old, 5 3 female that is looking to gain weight. I only weigh 108lbs which is completely unhealthy and underweight. My appetite goes up and down.. One day I can eat a whole lot and the next day I wouldnt want to eat anything. I think I have a fast metabolism also. I have tried everything from taking women one a day, drinking ensure, taking cb1, forcing myself to eat more... Everything. I need help. Any suggestions?
Normal BMI (body mass index) is 18.5 to 24.9. This is weight for height.
Your BMI is 19.1 which is in the normal range though it is at the low end of normal and can go up if you wish.
To increase your weight, you may want to consider: (a) using B vitamin supplements, B vitamins tend to increase appetite
(b)if it is difficult to eat larger portions, you may want to consider using smaller amounts of high calorie value food/drinks This means small portions of types of foods that may be high in calories. Dressings or condiments can be added to increase the calorie value.
(c)also consider eating more frequently
Strength training would also help to increase body mass as well.
I hope this helps
