Suggest Ways To Increase A Baby S Weight

I had my baby at full term but at 6mth, she was weighing about 5kg, do doctor advised i give prenan to help increase her weight. Still on ot, she is 8mths onld and still low weighted with about 6kg. am confusef, perhaps she stayed too long on prenan & not getting adequate calories.

Hi I have read your query thoroughly. You have raised a very important question. It is extremely important that your baby must get a well balanced and nutritive diet during these years of growth and development.
Make sure your baby Should get breast milk or formula milk, chunkier purees, and some finger foods. Do try scrambled eggs and small bite-size (about a half inch) cubes of well-done pasta, vegetables, meatballs, cheese, and ripe fruit.
Measure weight frequently and stop giving anything in food which shows signs of allergy.
You must consult your child's doctor regularly.
