Suggest Ways To Manage Pain After Knee Replacement Surgery
I had a knee replacement last Monday . I am 65 and was going to go home the following Fri. But since I had no help at home my dr. Recommended I go to a rehab . I ve had therapy for my knee only twice and am being given a small cup of painkillers around the clock. My question is can I be allergic to these meds.? I don t sleep after taking them and I wreath in pain for hrs. Tonight for the 1st time I refused any pain med (usually given at 8 pm) and the pain I feel is actually bearable and I feel sleepy.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if you are not having proper sleep then this may not be due to medicines that is being given to you for pain neither this is allergic condition but sleep disturbances may be due to stress, and anxiety, try to come out of this, control your thoughts, everything would be fine you can even talk to your doctor for this, hope this information helps, take care.
