Suggest Ways To Manage Psychotic Episodes After Using Anesthesia

My mother, age 85, has had psychotic episodes following previous surgeries related to anesthetics, (her suspicion). Last post-op, she was hiding a fork in her pocket to kill her neighbors. She is terribly embarrassed by this and facing the insertion of a pace maker soon. She wonders how to impress upon the anesthesiologist and medical team how bizarre she may become, wonders if it s avoidable, and is stressed out about her potential reaction. Any advice? Thanks
