Suggest Ways To Postpone Menstruation

Hello doctor. I am 23 years old n getting married on 25th Nov. My last menstrual cycle was on 22nd October. N now for the month of November i want to delay my periods for atleast 6 days. So how can i do dat ?? Can i use mala d tablets to get it delayed ? Will it b safe ?? And in future will it result in any side effect like in conceiving after marriage ?? Please help.

Thanks for posting on HCM
Postponing menses may pose no particular problems in future.However, i encourage it only when very necessary.You may use norethisterone 5mg to delay your menses.
To delay your menses, you may take a tablet 3 times a day from 3 days to the day you are expecting your menses.You continue with this drug till you feel your menses may come.Menses will flow a few days after stopping the drug.
