Suggest Ways To Prevent Lumps Forming On The Vagina

I have recently had a baby & tonight when showering I felt a lump near my vagina. It is like a spot or boil but no head. I had one after my first child & it turned into a huge boil where I was in excruciating pain & almost admitted to hospital. What can I do to prevent it getting to that stage again please?
