Suggest Ways To Remove Scar On Chest After Cyst Removal

I had several kenalog injections to reduce an unsightly scar on my chest from the removal of a cyst. The area that was injected is now completely depressed. All of the fat is gone from the area. It looks terrible. Will this ever improve, or since it has been a year, I have seen as much improvement as I will get? Also, will injecting saline help the situation or is it too late for that too? Thank you

General Surgeon 's  Response
hi.

scar formation or wound healing in chest area, especially in the sternal area, is actually prone to keloid formation as there is poor vascularity in the area. steroid injections and topical applications might reduce the fibrotic tissue formation a little, but it won't totally remove it.

hope this helps.

good day!!
