General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for your question on HCM

I do understand your concern

“As” per your clinical history is concerned do following things-

1)Do check if you have any rash near tick biting site like a bull eye
2)Do check if you have fever or feeling like fever
3)Do check if you have joint pain or not
4)Do check by a neurologist for any clinical sign
5)Do ELISA and western blot test to confirm the diagnosis
6)If confirmed for treatment you can discuss with your treating doctor regarding [cefuroxime axetil- 500 mg twice a day for 20 days along with doxycycline 100 mg once a day for 20 days.

Hope that helps
