I was prescibed epilim for possible bi polar which was misdiagnosed after some testing it was found i have mild personslity disodrer and mild anxiety ( I have just succesfully weaned iff Aropax 20 mg which i had taken for 10 years it took me 6 months to wean off them i am still suffering side effects but nothing i cant cope with) Now i have only taken epilim for 6 months and i was taking 2 200mg tablets a night now my psychiatrist who misdiagnosed gave me a very vague descriprion of how to stop taking epilim so i was just wanting to see what another Doctors advice on how to wean off would be.. I am also going to try falling pregnant next june can my use of epilim still effect the baby if its been 6 months since i stopped taking epilim
You should take one tablet on the morning and half a tablet in the evening for one week, then half a tablet twice a day for one week, then half a tablet on the morning for one week, the half a tablet every other day for one week. Finally stop taking the drug. Epilim can cause congenital anomalies to the fetus such a cleft lip and palate, so you should stop taking the drug before getting pregnant.
