Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been using Eziday 25 mg. for the last more than two weeks. I am now very careful about my diet and walking also. I want to stop Eziday 25 mg. Please tell me how I can proceed for it. Because my BP now remains at 109(Sys) /65 (DIA) and heart beat at 66. Thanks
You can continue with diet and exercise, but you cannot wean off the medication. The readings what you have mentioned is controlled with medication mainly, supported by diet and exercise.
Stopping antihypertensive medications could result in rebound hypertension, which could cause cerebral haemorrhage or sudden cardiac arrest, which could be fatal.
Kindly continue the medications as prescribed and do the necessary follow-up with your doctor as advised.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
