Suggest Ways To Wean Off Lamictal

Hello I am bi-polar manic I m on lamactal 250 for 3 years this time . And I m having to come off of them cold turkey not by choice.. My sych doctor still hasn t called them in to be filled. I call him every day, and every day is the same answer.. He will send it to the pharmacy well Im now on day 3 and still no Lamactal Im having allot of really bad systems, physical & mentally I feel like I m going crazy ..Is this normal and when should my husband and I be concerned? I don t want to hurt anyone or myself like I have before taking lamactal. What should I do????

Taper over a period of at least 6 months and under the supervision of your clinician. Lamictal (Lamotrigine) is a drug that is approved for the treatment of epilepsy.

Tapering should be done gradually In order to reduce severe withdrawal symptoms. It is important to recognize that how quickly you recover from its withdrawal.
