Suggested Treatment For Elevated Cholesterol Level
HI, am 61 woman and I am worrying about my Cholesterol level. It is 250 LDL 188 and High 50. Triglyceride are fine. Should I be worry about heart attack? I am walking 4 times a week for about 1 hour, go to yoga class once a week and dancing class two times a week for about 2 hours...It this enough of exercise?
Your physical activity is good. I would advise you to follow more strict diet for cholesterol, if you eat much cholesterol rich food. You should't smoke. If you have diabetes mellitus or uncontrolled hypertension, then you will need to take cholesterol lowering medications, such as a statin. Otherwise following to healthy lifestyle is enough.
Take care
