Suggestive Alternative Blood Thinners Instead Of Aspirin
My husband is currently going through flushing of his blood every two months what can he do to lower the red blood cell count,. the doctor said that more aspirin would not help. we thought it would help to thin the blood? What can he do to lower the numbers they want it lover than 50. His is usually 53.
Your mentioned history suggestive that he is suffering from polycythemia problem.
In this condition, therapeutic phlebotomy is the best treatment and so he needed to be put on regular blood withdrawal means phlebotomy treatment.
Aspirin is an anti platelet drug and will help in preventing clot formation. In high red blood cells count, thrombosis is a risk. So aspirin intake will prevent thrombosis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
