Sun Burn, Recurring Crusts Of Yellow Substance On Head. Normal?
I was recently hiking in the mountains, I had my hair parted down the middle and I got sunburned, the next day I found little crusts of a yellow substance on my head, I took I off to examine it a couple of times and it sort of resembles dried pus, it keeps reappearing, I'm just wondering what I should do, what it is, and if its normal?
Hi, You are right, you developed sunburn or actinic prurigo with secondary bacterial infection. You protect the skin from sun rays to further progress of disease. As there infection, take antibiotic for 1 to 2 weeks along with anti infllammatory drugs. Take antihistaminics ,if there is itching. Take a short course of steroids in tappering doses. Avois stress, Avoid soap. I hope you may be benefitted., still, you may consult dermatologist.
Thanks for query..
