Sunburns, Itchy Burning Sensation, Do Not Feel Clean Even After Shower. Is This Prickly Heat?

I need the consultation of a dermatologist , ive uploaded a couple photos, i am on holiday in Thailand, in non-air conditioned room, i don t go out often, i was sunburnt last week, in saltwater, itchy, burning sensations, like bugs on my skin, no pain, don t feel clean even after showers, itchy dry skin , even after showers, i use the Thai shower wash, i don t know if it s an oil in the soap, or not, but it s spreading, i don t wear underwear, and stay indoors to remain cool, is it prickly heat?

hi,
thank you for your query.

It seems that you are suffering from the post-sunburn itch.it is a common problem and can be easily overcome.

some tips-

*Take a good warm no-soap shower.do this daily for ten mins twice a day.
*drink loads of water
*If you have a clean spray bottle fill it up with ordinary every day vinegar and spray it only on the sunburnt parts.
*After vinegar is dry, you can get dressed. Wear comfortable clothes which are not tight or covering sunburned area(s) if possible. The sunburn needs to be exposed to air and not covered
*after 2 coats of vinegar the stinging should stop. Apply oil or moisturizer every 4 hours after that.

don't forget dehydration increases the severity of sunburn so keep yourself hydrated.

thank you,
wishing you good health
