Swelling In Arm, Red, Itching After Wasp Sting. Taking Medication. Suggestions?

I have a wasp or bee sting on the inside of my arm above the elbow. It has turned red and is swelling and it itches? Any answer? The area is about 4 inches by 3 inches, red in color and a bit swollen. I'm taking diphenhydramine hydrochloride, 25 mg, antihistimine and putting prescription clotrimazole-betameth cream on it. Any answers? I have an annual checkup tomrorrow with my doctor. Can I just wait?

Hi,
check if stinger is still in the skin.If it is please try to remove it with light scraping. the local application thereafter will be more effective.
Continue with the treatment you are taking .You can discuss it with your doctor tomorrow.Till then ,

Ice pack,or a gauze soaked in vinegar, lemon juice provide some relief ( Acid content nutralizes the venom.).
Olive oil may have a soothing as well as healing effect.
Thank you.
