Swelling In Sum, Enlarged Tonsils, Painful, Unable To Swallow. Non Smoker. What May Be Wrong?

Yesterday my upper right gum started getting swollen. This morning when I woke up the right side in the back on the gum is even more swollen, my tossill is enlarged and hurts, even my jaw hurts a little. It's very hard to swallow anything. I'm 31 years old, never smoked, don't drink, don't use any kind of drugs. I have two daugthers, they are 8yrs and 1yr. I went to the doctor today and he told me this must be a cold that is starting but this feels like more than a cold.

Hello
I think you are suffering from acute Tonsillitis with Gingivitis .
i will advise you to consult a ENT specialist
It needs longer duration of antibiotic and some analgesics
Immediatly you should start salt water gargle
Stop spicy , oily and hot foods.
Infection of gums or Tonsils Spreads through the respiratoy tract it may spread to lungs. so as early as possible you should visit a doctor
