Swelling Of The Jaws Usually Upon Eating Starting From The Ears Along The Neck And The Jaws?

My left jaw has swollen about 4-5 times over the last 3 months. Usually when eating, but not the same foods. It begins just behind and in front of my ear and goes down about 4 inches along my jaw and neck. It becomes very tight but that lasts only about 20-60 minutes and then goes down to where there is no tightness but is still slightly swollen. This last episode of 3 days ago has left some swelling in front of my ear. This is the longest time that I have seen some swelling remain.

Hi, you have chronic parotitis.
Parotid gland is a salivary gland present in front of the ear
When there is infection n, the size increases and causes pain while eating.
This needs a course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory medicines.
All these are prescribed medicines so do consult doctor.
