Swelling On Base Of Penis, Loss Of Sensitivity. Possible Reason?
I went to the restroom earlier and noticed a small amount of swelling at the base of my penis. On the right side of my penis there is a swollen area right where it seems like a vein may be. It is very noticeable, there is no pain, in fact there may be a loss of sensitivity to pain in the affected area. All other areas of my penis are normal with normal sensitivity. I also checked by testes and checked for any lumps, but felt nothing.
Swelling at the base of penis may be due to enlarged lymph node or hematoma . Draining lymph nodes may become enlarged as this is the site for superficial lymph nodes. Hematoma is also a possibility. Loss of sensitivity may be due to inaccurate assessment. Consult your surgeon if necessary.
