Swelling Underneath Right Eye, Itchy, Sharp Pains In Right Ear. What Could Be This?
I woke up two days ago with swelling underneath my right eye, it's itchy, the it spread a little but last night to part of my eye lid. I took benedryl and it hasn't press any further but hasn't gotten any better. Now today I've been getting some random sharp pains in my right ear. I'm wondering if they could be related?
You are suffering from acute conjunctivitis in your right eye. You should take hot fomentation 3 times a day, use some anti-biotic eye drops locally 2 hourly and anti-biotic ointment at night. When you get up in morning, you should clean your eye with warm water with clean hands and boiled cotton. This should help you in 48 to 72 hours.
I am not sure if you should have taken benadryl syrup for your eye ailment. Pain in the ear could be separate entity due to some ENT infection, so you need to consult an ENT surgeon for pain in the ear.
