Swollen Ankles, Feet Pain, Tingling In Ankles. Normal Blood Tests, Low Thyroid. Taking Synthroid. Suggestions?
I am having problems with swollen ankles. My feet ache (right foot mostly) and I have tingling and stinging in my ankles. I also have intermittent pain in my left side. Cat scan of abdomen was good. All blood work and urine test was good. The only thing showing was low thyroid. The doctor is changing my medication of synthroid from 175 mg to 200 mg.

HI
THank for choosing HCM, In case of hypothyroidism the swelling of joints are there, but it comes to normal after starting the treatment, if it does not came around look for low hemoglobin and if it is low then have iron supplement, keep the leg elevated take a fresh fruits and leafy vegetables in diet,, as your doctor increased the dose of drug you may get the nice result of it ,, Have a good day
