Swollen Blood Vessel Near Breast, Painful. What Could It Be?

I have swollen vein/artery just below and on the right side of the breast running down till the end of the stomach. It hurts when I lift my hands up n the vein pulls.. What could it be. It started as minor pain pt on pressing but has increased in the last two weeks. The whole length of the vein hurts on pressing. Pl advice

Hi,

If you have engorged veins near your breast, it means that you might have mastitis. Mastitis is when the breasts are infected and inflamed due to some reason. I am going to list the causes for you below.

Excessive milk
Bacterial or
Fungal infection
Pierecings
unhygenic conditions

If you have any of these risk factors, I want you to meet a GP who will start you on antibiotic therapy. If it is due to excessive milk, you can express the milk into a bowl and then the pain should be relieved. I hope this helps you. All the best.
