Swollen Buttock, Bruise On Cheek. Had A Fall. Suggestions?
My Husband fell 3 weeks ago on his bicycle. He fell right onto his buttocks. His left buttock is still swollen . A large bruise developed on both cheeks but has pretty much subsided. I am worried about the area that is still swollen on his left cheek. It is about the size of a tennis ball or slightly larger than a golf ball. Is there anything he can do at this point?

History of fall and swelling with pain and redness suggest inflammation. Give him anti inflammatory drug like NSAID with serratiopeptidase for pain and swelling and if infection he should be put on antibiotic. Consult your doctor for examination to rule out any fracture or tissue injury and management.

It seems that he might have huge collection of blood forming hematoma due to soft tissue injury on buttocks.
Go for application of ice pack for 10 minutes 2-3 times a day.
If hematoma does not absorb, then aspiration of blood might required.
Go for one antibiotic medicines to prevent infection after consulting your doctor.
Ok and take care.
