Swollen Eyelid And Temple, Headache, Ear Pain, Numbness After Fall. Applied Ice. Need To Worry?
i was running and tripped and fell hard on pavement and now my eyelid is black/blue/red and swollen eyelid and swollen below eye along with right temple swelling and deep cheek scrapes that look like a third degree burn,next day bad headache with ear pain and numbness in cheek area,pupil seems smaller then normal and can look downward from lower eye area swelling ,is this something to worry about? i put ice on all areas imediatly for a legnthy time,it looks worse now and right side of fac3 areas feeling little pressure or fullness,thank you
1. Did you have an injury severe enough to cause fracture of the orbit (eye socket)? This can be suspected from the features you have presented with. You may be referred for a CT scan of brain and orbit. This will confirm any serious injury requiring medical attention. Any visual problems needs a consultation with an ophthalmologist.
2. Is there any wound infection within the eyeball? This has to be evaluated by your doctor and antiseptic and antibiotics may be prescribed along with pain relievers.
3. Your ear also needs to be examined for injury by an ENT specialist.
