Hello there and welcome to HCM,

Gum swelling restricted to single tooth with a white head is due to infection. white head over the gums is the abscess draining point.it is either a gingival (gum) abscess or periodontal (tooth related ) abscess.X ray examination of the area will confirm whether the tooth is related or not.visit a dentist,if it is gingival abscess then simple drainage and deep ultrasonic cleaning of gums followed by medication will cure. if it is a tooth related abscess then root canal procedure is needed. i hope that helps , take care

hello,
the swelling around one tooth is due to accumulation of plaque or food debris due to improper brushing and cleaning.
this is a localised periodontitis resulting in abscess formation.
get your teeth professionally cleaned by your dentist.
root planning and drainage of abscess has to be done.
take antibiotics prescribed by your dentist.

Hi,
Thank you for the query.
White head around the teeth indicates infection of the gingiva which had turned into a gingival abscess . This can be treated by cleaning the gum deep around the teeth with the scaler followed by a course of antibiotic and analgesic .If it has a developed an endo perio lesion then you have go for rootcanal treatment. seee your dentist for the required treatment.
take care.

Hello & welcome
as you said that there is no pain in tooth this is your gum problem known as gingival abscess.
only cure for this that you have to visit your dentist.
the pus will be drained through curettage & along with that you have to do antibiotic course and have to maintain proper oral hygiene.
chlorhexidine mouthwash & betadine rinses will help in healing. Please be careful in future do not use safety pins or toothpicks aggressively if you used to do.
thanks & take care

Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

According to your clinical symptoms i suppose that you have developed infection in your tooth that had spread to the periapical tisssue leading to abscess formation, it can be a gingival abscess or a periodontal abscess to rule out this an x-ray is required.
I would suggest you to visit the Dentist and get the checkup done take an x-ray of the tooth.
If it is gingival infection you have to go for complete mouth scaling, polishing and curettage.
If tooth related you have to go for root canal treatment of the tooth.

Hope this helps out.
