Hello,
Welcome to health care magic.
From your history, it seems that you have probably caught the cold sore from our boyfriend. It is better that you consult a dermatologist who will put you on a course of antiviral medications. If the lesion has got secondary bacterial infection, you may also need a course of antibiotics.
In future, it is better to avoid close physical contact when the lesion is active. Once it has healed ( formed scabs) , it is no longer infectious.
Hope this helped .
