Swollen Tonsils. Prescribed Prednisone. Will I Be Okay?

Hello, today i was prescribed prednisone 20 mg and in my information booklet it says to take at 9 A.M. but lately because my tonsils are so swollen I have splet until about 1 in the afternoon. If I take this medication at 9 A.M. can I go back to sleep and it will still have the effect? Orcan I wait until I wake up and take it at the same time everyday?

Hello Good evening,

Nothing to worry about this issue.
The prednisolone is a steroid and given to you to subside swelling and inflammation of your tonsils and you can take it any time in the day but timings should be around 24 hours apart i.e. you can take in the afternoon on every day.

Regards.
