Swollen Tonsils, Cough, Night Sweats, Do Not Gain Weight
It first started when I had a tb test that was questionable over a year ago but in the end they said I passed. About half a year later I get extremely sick and have a terrible sore throat I get tested for mono but it's negative they said I had tonsillitis. I got medicine and felt better for a couple months then again I get the same sickness but then they said I have mono. I mostly recover but my tonsils remain swollen. For months after I have still very swollen tonsils, cough everyday expiecally in the morning with septum, and have nights sweats. I don't lose weight but I can't gain any and I lift everyday and eat a large amount of food.
Hi, Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic. If the tonsils are persistently enlarged and causing recurrent sore throat they have to be removed surgically. Because enlarged and hypertrophied tonsils will work like a focus for repeated bacterial infections, so they have to be removed surgically. Consult a ENT surgeon to review your medical history and to suggest you an appropriate advice. Hope I have answered your query. Regards.
