Swollen Uvula Throat And Tongue, Knot On Left Side Of Neck, Difficult To Swallow. Cure For Symptoms?
I have a swollen uvula, as well as the left side of my throat and tongue, there is a knot on the left side of my neck almost where one would check for a pulse, I have noticed the swelling and pain gets worse when I lay down for more than 20 minutes or so, and it is also hard to swallow. I have been taking anti-biotics for two days now but this is the sixth day of symtoms. Do you know what this sounds like?
I had gone through your query regarding swollen uvula, tongue and throat and this hurt you on swallowing. You have also noticed a knot on left side of neck.
You are having this problem for a week and you are taking antibiotic for last 2 days. Since you have infection on left side of throat with lymphadenitis. you may continue the antibiotic and also take anti inflammatory and observe for 3 to 4 days if it gets clear up than ok. But on the other hand if after a weeks time this persists than you have to consult ENT specialist for thorough examination and necessary investigations to finalise the diagnosis and accordingly treatment.
Regards.
