TB Infection, Blood Clots In Phlegm, Spreading To Neck, Back And Abdomen. Done Blood Tests And Chest X Rays. What Does This Mean?

Hi my name is shabbir. It was about two years ago that night i coughed alot and later coughed much blood that was not stoping. So my friends took me to emergency ward, later they took some blood samples and chest xray. The doc diagnosed me of tb infections and askes me to immidiately take tb medications. So i did for about 6 months period. I became better and nearly fit and healthy again. But after few months of mediaction i again got pain in my chest , pain was all over the lungs. And i coughed some pleghm with mixed blood clots. I am now in sweden, i went to thier hospital and described everything. They took chest xrays and blood tests and urine tests. They say chest xray is clear and blood test shows good result. But i am producing more bloody pleghms , white pleghms day by day. The pain is getting worse and feels like spreading to other parts of my body like my neck and back and lower abdominals. They pains in chest and back are getting worse, they are located to one special part, it hurts for a minut or two and then disapears. But the pain in middle of my chest is perminent and hurts when take deep breaths and press on it. i dont cough alot or u can say that i dont cough at all but i have white mucus, some times yellow and little greenish mucus with blood. one thing i forgot to mention is that i have smoked for about 3 years but i quit 2 years ago when i got ill. help please i am tired of this thing

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
You had been diagnosed with TB and successfully treated for it for almost 2 years ago. So i do not think it is recurrence of TB as your chest xray is clear. If still in doubt you can get your sputum tested for acid fast bacilli which will rule out recurrence of TB.
I am suspecting lower respiratory tract infection which may have spread to the pleura causing pain while breathing or coughing. I suggest you get a culture sensitivity of sputum and get a complete course of appropriate antibiotics prescribed by your doctor based on the test result.
Smoking may not play a role now as you have quit for more than 2 years ago. Thanks.
