Sir, I am 42 years old man and absolutely doing fine healthwise. I am regular at walk/run and swimming without any problems. i got done my TMT as a periodical health check up. If you could please explain me the meaning of my TMT report: Exercised on Bruce Protocol upto 10:48 (13.00 METS). 87% maximal age predicted heart rate achieved. Baseline ECG within normal limits. Patient developed significant ST depressions in leads II, III, aVF & V6 (-1.75, -2.1, -1.75, -1.1 mm horizontal) maximal at peak exercise, which reverted to baseline by 1 minute in recovery. No angina . No arrhythmias. Impression: TMT is positive for inducible ischemia .
hi Ajay thanks for query. As per the report the test is positive, means it suggests that when you do strenuous work your heart is not getting proper blood. Please do not get frightened with this ,as this test is highly operator dependent.you does not seems to have any problem in routine as well as when you do strenuous work as you have written, please get in touch with a cardiologist and confirm this report,if needed he may ask for 2 d echo to have more information.Do not worry
wishing you good health.
