Tail Bone Pain, Burst Abscess, Bleeding With Pus, Pregnant. Treatment Options?
i have had pain in my tailbone for over a week now, getting worse daily, and my ob had told me it was normal pregnancy pain thurday when i saw her last, but last night i took a hot shower and laid on an ice pack, and it started bleeding , and i realized it was an abscess that had burst and was draining blood and pus . what is there to do for treatment at 36 weeks pregnant? i dont wanna go into labor before its healed and risk further infection

You have still two weeks to go for your delivery.
You hane not mentioned ,what type of delivery your gynaecolgist has planned for your
If she has planned screan section(lscs),then she can do the lscs lscs 2 week earlier and drain the abscess.at same time
But if she has planned normal delivery,then you have to takes a course of antibiotic for a week .
once the infection subsides and maturity of your baby reched .she can induce you labour
You can also take a course of antibiotic even if she has planned lscs ,but you don't want surgery before maturity of your baby
