Taken Postinor 1 After Partially Protected Sex. Vaginal Bleeding Before Period Is Due. Worried
Good afternoon, I had sex with my boyfriend and the condom broke so I took a postinor 1, 4 days after we had unprotected sex and I took another pill. After 2 days I started having vaginal bleeding, at first it was very light but now it's getting a little darker, and its been going on for like 5 day now so I'm starting to get worried. Besides my period isn't even due until 2 weeks. So what should I do I'm really worried.
General & Family Physician, Dr. Vidya KR's Response
Hi, Thanks for using HCM.
As you have taken pill , your period would have started earlier due to hormonal variation. need not have to worry. If you notice passing any tissue in blood or continued bleeding, get done UPT test to rule out abortion. Frequent use of emergency pill is not recommended. Hope I answered your question. Consult your doctor for further examination and management. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries. Wish you good health. Take care.
