Taken Chemo And Radiation For Breast Cancer. Taking Remidex. Have Pain Under Breast Bone. Need For Doctor?
I had breast cancer 3 years ago and I see my Dr every 6 months.I have been getting very sharp pain under my breast bone.It kinda feels like a charlie horse.Should I call my Dr and tell him? I have an appointment to see him in November or should I wait til my appointment? Is this a sign that my cancer is back ?I went thru chemo and radiation, and now I am taking remidex .
Hi, after chemo, and radiation, if won't be repeated in 6 months. More over the pain is under the sternum, so it may be the infection, or muscular pain. I advise you to consult a surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. Thank you.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Since three years back you got cancer of breast ( type of cancer is very important as benign or malignant , squamous cell carcinoma or columnar cell carcinoma). You got chemotherapy & radiation , now again getting remidex ( methotraxate) ,still feeling ( very sharp in nature). As there is no clear demarcation in breast, ribs, lungs ,so it is very difficult to say about metastasis of cancer ( spread). In my opinion please get in MRI / CT SCAN of effected parts . Since pain is acute so consult an oncologist at once . Good luck. Dr. HET
