Taking Bisoprolol For Hypertension. Itchy Skin On Face. Taken Fexofenadine. Need Help

hello, I'm taking Bisoprolol for hypertension , I'm 56 years old . I suffer with an itchy (annoying) skin on my face. I've tried six or seven other medications, all seem to result in this or other side effects. My gp says I'm very sensitive to medication! I've tried anti histamines , such as fexofenadine 250mg for 2 months without success. Any advice?

Hi
Thanks for your query

You seem to be developing skin rash due to use of bisoprolol.
Since it is an essential drug, so you might need to continue taking it.
Take a regular course of oral antihistamines along for some time.
For the skin rash, you might need to apply topical steroids over the affected areas for sometime.
Use a sunscreen regularly as any skin rash over face can increase on exposure to sunlight.

If the rash persists still, you might have to consul a physician and get your drug changed.

Hope it helps
