Taking Gmer1 For High Blood Sugar. Worried

my age 59yrs - male , CHIEF ENGINEER MOSTLY ADMIN. JOB .
BP-150/95 AV. - MEDICINE TAKEN REGULARLY.
AT PRESENT , SINCE LAST ONE YR. MY CHOLES. AND TRIGLYCIRIDE LEVELS ARE WITHIN RANGE.
TSH IS NORMAL
BUT , BLOOD SUGAR FASTING-240 AND PP-320 WHERE VI AM TAKING GMER1 TAB OF SUN PHARMA DAILY ONCE. SIR , NOW WORRIED . PL ADVICE. THANKS MRINMOY CHATTERJEE 0000

Hi,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic,
After going through the available details, you are having Diabetes Type II and taking oral hypoglycemic drug (Gemer1).

Your blood sugar levels are high both fasting and Post lunch blood sugar 240 mg and 320 mg/dl respectively.

This is good that your Lipid profile is in normal range, but please understand Diabetes and High blood pressure are life style diseases and need treatment lifelong.
If blood sugar is not controlled with this drugs there are other drugs which can be added and dose can also be increased to achieve good control of blood sugar.
In case necessary Insulin can be given to control blood sugar level.
Please take care of diet and regular exercise along with treatment and reduce stress by yoga and meditation.

Monitor blood pressure and if required treatment can be started early.
Please consult a Physician/Endocrinologist and get your regular medical checkup.
