Taking Musinex For Cough, Also Have Fever And Headache. Is This Flu?

Hi. I swam laps at a recreation pool on Saturday. After swimming I developed a cough.

Sunday night I had a fever (99.4). Took a cold/flu pill and went to work the next day (yesterday).

Got home that afternoon with a bad headache (feels like a bad hangover) and temperature of 102.6.

Took the day off and rested today. Fever went down so went to pick up my daughter from school. By the time I got home , I felt week and my temperature rose back to 101.2. Cough is better after taking Musinex.

You have upper respiratory tract infection after swimming.
Infection might be spread to sinuses which cause the severe headache.
Continue mucinex.
Start nsaid with levocetrizine, decongestant to subside the headache, fever.
Proper antibiotic is needed to control the infection like amoxy/clavulinic,azithromycin.
Steam inhalation will be helpful.
Avoid swimming till get complete cure.
