Taking Antibiotics For Walking Pneumonia. Having Flu Symptoms, Orange Mucus On Blowing Nose. Possible Problem?
Previously diagnosed with walking pneumonia about 1.5 months ago. Went on antiboitics for a week. For the last 2 weeks I ve been dealing with what is either a bad cold/ flu . Today I started seeing orange mucus when I blew my nose. My other symptoms are: Nausea (vomiting for 2 days), stuffy and runny nose, headache, sore throat, some coughing, and achy/ fatigue . After seeing the orange mucus I suspected something may not be right. Can you tell me what may be the problem?

Hi
Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum
You are suffering from Acute sinusitis, the orange colored discharge is because of the mixing of the blood in the infected sinus secretions.
You need to drink plenty of warm water and use saline nasal spray followed by steam inhalation. A mucolytic such as bromhexine or ambroxol will help in thinning out the secretions, thus reducing your symptoms. Finally, do not blow your nose harshly; this will damage the already congested mucosa and bleeding happens.
hello,
due to sore throat and redness of throat orange colour is present in mucus ,avoid oily and cold food material , take lukewarm water for drinking and steam inhalation . If temperature is present add ibu plus paracetamol combination.
