Taking Birth Control Due To Bad Periods And Acne, Sex Drive Decreased Drastically. Reason?
I am having a hard time with trying to get my hormones in check. I am 45 years old and have just recently taken birth control for 3 months consecutively as opposed to taking a break between cylcles to see if that may help. I have been taking birth control since I was 11 due to bad periods and acne . my sex drive has decreased drastically and my mood is all over the place and im scared that if I stop taking the pill everything will get worse. any suggestions ??

I think you might be entering the perimenopausal transitional phase.
That would explain all your symptoms such as decreased libido, mood swings etc.
please have hormonal evaluation -
FSH
LH
serum estradiol
That will confirm the status of your menopause.
do not worry, as taking HRT temporarily will definitely solve the problems for you.
