Taking Birth Control Pill For 2 Months, Missed 2 Pills In First Month. Is It Safe To Have Unprotected Sex Without Getting Pregnant?

I have been taking Lo Loestrin Fe birth control pills for about 2 months and a week and 2 days. The first month i started i missed two pills in a row during the 2nd week and took them asap and finished the rest of the pack. When i started second pack i took every pill on time everyday. And so far on my third i have done the same on time everyday. Is it okay to have unprotected sex or will i still have a chance of becoming pregnant?

Hi,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic,

You are taking low dose contraceptive pills, if you are taking regularly and finished two packs. One blue tablet should be taken daily for 24 consecutive days, followed by one white tablet daily for 2 consecutive days, followed by one brown tablet daily for 2 consecutive days.
You are protected and can have unprotected sex, these are very effective for contraception.
It is only during first 7 days you need to use other contraceptive method.
Remember not to smoke and these oral pills prevent unwanted pregnancy and do not offer protection against sexually transmitted diseases.
Hope this information helps, go ahead and enjoy.
Take care.
Good Luck.

Hello,
If you are taking your birth control pills regularly, then there is no problem of conception and so you can go ahead with unprotected sex.
It is only at the time of starting your birth control pills for the first time that you are supposed to employ an additional method like condom to avoid pregnancy, for first week.
Since you are taking your pills regularly for at least two cycles, there is no chance of pregnancy with unprotected sex.
Thanks

hello,
thank you for using healthcare magic,
in this current cycle have you taken pills regularly ? if yes then no need to worry.. you can have sex without using condom.. there are no chances of pregnancy..
if you have missed any pill then now continue pills every day as usual and use another birth control method like condom .. from next month you can be only on pills..
if this month you have not missed any pills then no need to worry
hope this helps you..
Regard,
Dr.Nehal..
