Taking Lisinopril, Blood Pressure Always Low. Should I Stop Taking Medicine Or Reduce Its Dose?

Ive been taking Lisinopril 10 mg for about 3yrs now. In those 3yrs Ive quit smoking, lost weight , and changed jobs to a much less stressful one. My blood pressure is always 110/ 70 or lower, can get as low as 90 /56. Due to these low readings I have quit taking my med. Havnt taken for about 2 weeks now and pressure has not gone higher than 133/86 and a 10 reading average over 2 days is 122 over 81. I went to urgent care a couple weeks ago for a flu bug and without meds my BP was 120 /80. Do you think its ok for me to stay off the med as long as my BP stays like this or maybe cut the dose in half ? And if I just cut the dose in half, can I take the rest my 10mg and split in half just to use them up? Thanks for youre help. I have a reg Dr. but is very hard to get in and see her, which is why I use urgent care most of the time.

Hello,
Reduction of stress, quitting of smoking and loosing wight has helped you in getting your blood pressure in normal range.
Since blood pressure is in normal range, you may hold back your BP medicines for the ime being, however keep a check on your BP regularly.
Make sure to keep your BP around 120-130/80-85 range.
If it crosses beyond this range on regular basis, you can start with a smaller dose of lisinopril. In that event you may start with 2.5 or 5 mg.
Thanks
