Taking Medications For Thyroid Problem And Hypertension. Pain In The Chest, Arms And Legs. What To Do?
hello doctor actaually 4rm last 3o days we came to know tht my mom has thyroid problem they have given us a tablet of euthyrox 50mg to my mom as my mom has already taken the tablet of b.p tenormin 50mg and my mom start taken both the tablet together and after 10 or 11 days my mom had a chest pain,pain in both the arms and legs and start shivering then the doctor adviced her to stop taking tablet of tenormin 50mg and continue taking tablet of thyroid but my mom stopped taking euthyrox after this wht happen to my mom now after 3 weeks she start taking tablet of thyroid but stil she is not well how will she be fine? we are very worried doctor...... help us !
Thyroid hormone replacement can cause symptoms of anxiety and tremors as described by you. I would advice reduction of dose of thyroxine to 25 mcg from 50 mcg. As far as your blood pressure medications is concerned , we would have your BP checked and take a call on your medications after seeing your blood pressure profile.
