Taking Metroprolol And Clonidine. Feeling Shock Wave In The Head. Is My Blood Pressure Too Low?

Hello,
I need to know... is 112/77 blood pressure too low? My pulse rate is 70. The thing is, I'm on Metoprolol 50 mg and Clonidine 1mg. My left arm currently feels a little tight and I'm just felt a quickening shock wave on left side of my head. My blood pressure is usually high, between 135/70-152/97, is it ok for my blood pressure to be at 112 with the above symptoms? Please advise. I would appreciate any help you can provide, thank you very much.

Dear Sir/Madam
Thanks for your query to HCMagic.
1. On the face of it, no level of blood pressure can be said to be low in a given case, unless there are telltale signs like decreased peripheral circulation, decrease in urine output, altered mentation etc. Still 112/77 is nearly 20% less than 152/97 (if i calculate mean BP) which may produce symptoms theoretically but we are taking extremes which is not the practical scenario. Moreover a sudden shock like feeling in head is not a feature of low BP. it usually manifests as vertigo or blackout on standing, palpitation, transient blurred vision on standing etc.
2. Your heart rate is ok (although both these drugs decrease heart rate).
3. Please see a neurophysician to know the cause of these shockwaves.
Feel free to discuss further
sincerely
