Taking Vyvanse, Dosage Increased. How Do I Know When I Have Reached The Optimal Level?
I have been taking vyvance for my add symptoms for four months. A couple of weeks ago, my dosage was increased from 30mg to 40mg. I recognize my focus and concentration are improved, but how do I know when I ve reached the optimal level medication can help me?
Well the maximum recommended safe dose for vyvanse is 70 mg / day so it means that you can go as high as that. Now it is not necessary that you need to go up to 70 mg / day dosing to reap benefits, so what is usually done by doctors is that they keep the patient on a particular dose for some stipulated time frame say a 2-4 weeks and then see how the person has responded , if the response is good and there is steady improvement shown then the dose is not changed, so basically speaking the optimal dose of vyvanse that you can go up to is 70 mg / day but that shall only be used if the lower doses do not provide you relief.
I hope this makes sense.
Wish you all the best.
Regards.
