Tartar In Teeth. Which Toothpaste Is Advisable For Tartar Control And Healthy Gums?
SIR, I HAVE TARTER IN MY TEETH . TO REMOVE OR LESS IT & FOR HEALTHY GUMS , MY QUESTION IS - IS ANY TOOTHPASTE FOR TARTER CONTROL WITH HEALTHY GUMS . THANKS & REGARDS KAMAL KHULBE

I would like to inform you that only toothpaste can not control tarter.Tarter is calcified form of plaque,which is because of improper brushing or poor oral hygiene.there are so many factors affecting healthy teeth and gums like smoking, tooth brushing, mouthwash,food ,sugar intake,type of sugar and frequency of taking sugar,mouth breathing habit,regular dental check ups and scaling etc.
so i will suggest you please visit your dentist first and go for oral prophylaxis done and please understand proper brushing technique from your dentist and follow all the other given instructions properly.
in general to maintain good oral hygiene follow few things-
1.proper tooth brushing twice daily.
2.use mouth wash.
3.stop smoking(if any).
4.regular dental check ups in every 6 months.

tartar/calculus already depositedon your should be removed through scaling using ultrasonic scalers. this helps remove your tartar and maitainance of healthy gums in the long run.
after this you can go for twice brushing daily with tooth paste containing triclosan, and flossing the teeth regularly. this will be very helpful for your oral hygiene maintainance.

If, it is not removed from the teeth it can lead to severe periodontal infection and further bleeding and loosening of teeth and gums.
Therefore i would like to suggest you to go for complete scaling(cleaning)of teeth.

you can use triclosan containing tooth pastes for that... but this is not the complete cure...
you have to go for scaling and polishing for sure and should maintain good oral hygiene afterwards...
you have to take care of few things like:
1. avoid excessive intake of tea and coffee... especially after tooth brushing... and more care has to be taken of if you are using chlorhexidine mouth rinses...
2. brush twice daily after meals rather than before meals...
3. avoid smoking, tobacco etc...
4. some people are more prone to develop stains and calculus as compared to others... so visit your dentist regularly for clean ups atleast once in every 6 months...

since tartar (known as calculus ) is already deposited between your teeth
so what i would like to inform you that since it is minralized you can not take it out with normal brushing and if you try to do so you will only end up damaging you gums
so what i would suggest is that you pay a visit to your dentist and get a scaling and currettage done
after that to maintain good oral health you can do following
1.use any tooth paste that contains fluoride and triclosan and remember to brush before you go to sleep after dinner
2.do luke warm saline rinses after every meal if possible.....that will make your gums healthy

Tartar can be removed only by professional cleaning of teeth (scaling) . once cleaning is done dentist will teach you correct brushing technique. as long as your brushing technique is correct, toothpaste doesn't matter much. do visit dentist and get scaling done before you develop any gum disease.

hello, the tartar of your teeth /calculus needs to be removed by professional cleaning of tooth with help of ultra sonic instruments.. your dentist can perform it and clean your teeth in 2-3 sittings easily..
it is very difficult to remove by self cleaning/ tooth brush as these deposits are hard and adheres to tooth. you need scaling then later on you can prevent its recurrence again by following all the instructions by doctor.. All toothpaste available in market control tartar/calculus/plaque formation so you can use any toothpaste for it.. it is the technique by which you brush the teeth which is deciding factor more than toothpaste in calculus control.. so ask your dentist about the most suitable brushing technique for you..he will guide you surely.. age factor,teeth arrangement, gum recession etc, all will be factors to be considered while choosing and teaching the brushing method..
