Teen, Pain In Left Ovary, Back Pain. What It Could Be? Cure?

Hi, Im a 14 year old girl and have had pain in my left ovarie for a few months, i would always find it difficult to go to the toilet because it would hurt so much that i could nt even stand straight. Recently ive also developed pain on my back right behind my left ovarie. I m really scared! I worry alot and hope this has nothing to do with ovarian cancer . I have not yet gone through puberty and my mum thinks that the pain is triggered by my upcoming period, but i dont think so because the pain can sometimes be so unberable i can barly sleep. Please help!

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The severe pain in the lower abdomen near the ovary can be due to an ovarian cyst- may be a hemorrhagic cyst or endometriotic cyst which is causing you so much pain. Ultrasound scan of lower abdomen is recommended for diagnosis.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
